How to Identify High-Quality Wallets for Copy Trading

NYRO allows you to automatically copy top-performing Solana wallets by leveraging structured on-chain intelligence. But raw numbers aren’t enough - understanding what makes a wallet valuable is key.

This guide explains how to analyze wallet performance and use NYRO to start copy trading effectively.

Understanding how NYRO helps:

💻 What Data Does NYRO Provide?

NYRO integrates a specialized analytics layer that filters thousands of public Solana wallets based on on-chain behavior and historical trading patterns. Each trader profile is enriched with both performance metrics and behavioral scoring.

The following metrics are displayed across different timeframes (1D, 7D, 30D, ALL):

Profit and Loss

  • Realized PnL

  • Unrealized PnL

  • Combined PnL

ROI Breakdown

  • Realized ROI

  • Unrealized ROI

Trade Stats

  • Winrate

  • Total Wins / Losses

  • Tokens Traded

  • Total Trades

  • Total Invested

  • Best Coin

  • Worst Coin

This data is partially displayed in the "Top Wallets" lists and fully displayed in the detailed Trader Profiles, which opens when you click on a trader in the "Top Wallets" page.

🔎 How to Evaluate a Wallet’s Quality

Start with the ROI

Use the Realized ROI within the Wallet Dashboard to check actual performance.

  • A high Realized ROI (>70%) shows the wallet successfully closed profitable positions.

  • A high Unrealized ROI alone isn’t meaningful - those profits might vanish.

  • Example: In the screenshot below, Trader X has:

    • Realized PnL: $204.81k

    • Unrealized PnL: $-27.81k

    • Realized ROI: 133.76%

    • Unrealized ROI: -0.25%

Use this to judge whether the performance is real or inflated by open positions.

Look at Winrate and Volume

  • A good winrate: ~55–75%

  • Anything above 80% should be double-checked - often tied to very short trades or unclosed losses.

  • Combine winrate with:

    • Tokens traded (e.g. >120 = active)

    • Total trades (wins + losses)

For example, a wallet with:

  • 124 wins

  • 45 losses

  • 67% winrate is balanced and realistic.

Consistency and PnL Scores

NYRO includes Consistency Score and PnL Score, based on historical trade frequency, volatility control, and profit quality.

These scores are not arbitrary. They’re derived from a continuous on-chain assessment model that tracks behavioral trends across wallets. This ensures that high scores reflect stable patterns rather than lucky spikes.

  • High consistency (>70) = fewer outlier trades

  • High PnL Score = sustained profit over multiple periods

  • Combined with ROI Score, this gives a better picture than ROI alone

Investment Behavior

Key metrics:

  • Average Buy Amount = position sizing strategy

  • Total Invested = overall risk exposure

  • Holding Time = scalper vs swing trader

If you prefer lower volatility, look for:

  • Higher average buy amount with fewer tokens traded

  • Realized PnL > Unrealized PnL

  • Holding times > a few hours

Summary: What Defines a Quality Wallet?

Criteria
Ideal Range / Insight

Winrate

55–75% (more = suspicious, less = risky)

Realized ROI

>50%, ideally above 100%

Realized > Unrealized

Shows disciplined profit taking

Total Trades

Higher = more reliable stats (avoid wallets with <20 trades)

Final Thoughts

Don’t just copy the top wallet. Understand the data behind it.

Ask yourself:

  • Is this wallet’s performance sustainable?

  • Does it match my risk appetite?

  • Am I copying a strategy, or chasing results?
